Do i have to be in shape to start crossfit?

While it may seem like you need to be fit to start CrossFit, that is not at all the case. The CrossFitters that you see on TV are professionals, the CrossFitters at our gym are everyday people who spend an hour of their day 3-5/week to improve their health and overall quality of life. Our members range from backgrounds of zero prior workout experience to those who were collegiate athletes. We have accountants, school teachers, students, dentists, and more.

Our team of professionals coaches is dedicated to meeting you where you are at and helping you progress into a more fit version of yourself.

Do you require an on-ramp or beginners class?

While we do offer CrossFit 101 classes and one-on-one sessions to begin, this is not a requirement. Our CrossFit classes are full of athletes with a variety of fitness levels, ranging from beginners to those with years of experience. Our coaches are trained to find the right intensity level for all athletes in every class.

If you would like to begin with our CrossFit 101 class or 1 on 1 sessions, it is a great option to start with some more individualized attention and learn more about the CrossFit methodology! It will give you a head start of movement technique and learning how to find the correct intensity level for you with different workouts.

What can i expect for my first class?

While our workout is different every day, the class structure remains very similar day to day!

We will begin with some very light cardio (bike, row, walk), move into a coach-led, group warm-up, then the Coach will go over the workout for the day. The Coach will then show and teach all movements for the day, help each athlete find their progression of the movement and/or weight they will do for day’s workout. We’ll take a quick bathroom/question break, and then the whole class will go through the workout together! During the workout your coach will be on the floor ensuring that your technique is correct and encouraging you throughout the workout! We will then cool down and put our equipment away together, and then class is done!

Each CrossFit class lasts one hour - the best hour of your day!

What should i wear / bring with me?

I like to tell people to wear something you are super comfortable moving around a bunch in!

Think jumping, squatting, reaching overhead, running, and getting up and down off the floor in.

As for what to bring, just yourself! Water is a good idea, but we also have a water fountain and sell bottled water.

Do you have a shower?

Yes! We have one shower in the gym which members are more than welcome to use if they need to go straight to work or to an event after their workout!

How many days a week should i workout?

We recommend beginning with 2-3 days and working up to 3-5 days for optimal results!

Will crossfit help me lose weight?

If that is your goal, yes! CrossFit can help you gain muscle and lose body fat.

Not only do we achieve this through our workouts but also through our recommended nutrition protocol!

What if i have an injury or medical condition?

If you have a pre-existing injury or medical condition that you have been seeing a health care professional for, we recommend that you ask your doctor for their clearance before you begin. Once you receive approval, our Coaching staff will ensure that we work around any current limitations or injuries. CrossFit is infinitely scalable, and we can completely avoid any mobility limitations or body parts if necessary.

As for chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic pain, and depression & anxiety - CrossFit has been proven to prevent, manage, and in some cases even reverse these conditions and their symptoms.
